Loved your post, still love it in fact. Not sure what you said about Jazz was completely accurate though. I believe Jazz artists from Louis Armstrong to Miles Davis had to have the balls to do something insane, something that no one else had done before, perhaps not with a scowl on their face but for sure with the screw what everyone else is doing attitude Queen shared with them. Armstrong, Adderley,Coltrane, Coleman, Davis, Parker; all guys who changed the way Jazz was played some even with the scowl (see any poster of Davis).
